Severn Arts Launches New Fundraising Scheme: “Connect, Create, Perform”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Worcester, UK – 18th March 2026

Severn Arts, Worcestershire’s leading music and arts charity, is excited to announce the launch of its new fundraising initiative, “Connect, Create, Perform”. This scheme is designed to remove financial barriers and open up life-changing arts opportunities for children and young people across the region.

At the heart of the initiative is a simple belief: every young person should have the chance to discover their creativity, build confidence and develop their talent, regardless of their circumstances.

The Connect, Create, Perform scheme brings together three programmes designed to support young people through the arts:

  • Connect – helping remove financial barriers so young people can access one-to-one music lessons.

  • Create – supporting creative projects, such as The Forge, that give young people the chance to explore their creativity.

  • Perform – covering additional costs that can prevent involvement in bands, orchestras and tours.

Together, these programmes ensure that talented young people are not prevented from participating in the arts because of financial constraints.

A spokesperson for Severn Arts said:

“Through Connect, Create, Perform, we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to experience the joy and personal growth that the arts can bring. Support from our community allows us to remove barriers and create opportunities for young people.”

Supporters can contribute through donations of any size, helping Severn Arts provide inclusive arts opportunities for children and young people across Worcestershire. Larger donations can also be directed toward specific programmes within the initiative.
